"This song is called, 'What happens when the heart just stops'.
[...] This is about being... about wanting too much, about wanting to be close to someone too much, wanting to know where they are all the time. And when they're going out you're like, 'Where are you going?' or 'What time will you be back?' or 'I'll come with you'. And it's about trying to do the right thing. Trying to withdraw, so that you don't love so much. Trying to go 'Okay', and, and in doing so, something inside you just... dies. And you turn off. And then. And like all things in life, then they fall in love with you, and you don't care. And it's a song of hope."
Becoming numb, for your sake and mine. Even though it hurts at first, it will pass, like anything, like everything-- And even the most ornate chalk drawings will wash from the ground in time. And Thursday is merely a suffocated breath before the weekend. And 3:02 AM merely a time for both of us to be asleep. |
